D.O.T. Construction Closure UPDATE – Oct 11, 2017

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is reporting that the roadway reconstruction work on Highway 50 is planning to close certain traffic lanes on Monday October 16th and Tuesday October 17th.

Borg Road traffic between Geneva Street and Wright Street will be detoured for several hours on Monday October 16th to allow for placement of the final layer of asphalt pavement.   Wright Street traffic between Geneva Street and Hobbs Drive will be detoured for several hours on Tuesday October 17th to allow for placement of the final layer of asphalt pavement.

Painting of the lane lines on both the Highway and side streets will begin on Thursday October 19th.   Work will also be continuing with the installation of wiring for the street lights and traffic signals, along with placing of the street light poles.

At the eastern end of the project, replacement of the slope paving for the Interstate overpass will be taking place at the top of the new walkway retaining wall.
