For 2015:

1. Project planning continues for Highway 50

The City is progressing with cooperative plans with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation to repave Highway 50 from Wisconsin Street to Wright Street, which includes widening on the south side of the roadway from Park Avenue to Wright Street. The project will also include the installation of a bike path on the north side of the highway from Wright Street to the Delavan Crossings commercial area, with a large retaining wall under the Interstate overpass.

2. Sugar Creek Street (C.T.H. O north) Repaving- from Racine Street to north of Barnes Street – 2015

The existing roadway pavement will be removed, new gravel base placed to a 12- thickness, new concrete sidewalks installed on the west side of the roadway (where none now exist), concrete driveway aprons installed where needed, and new asphalt paving placed. New pavement marking will include on-street bike lanes.

3. Herman Street Reconstruction – from Geneva Street to south end – 2015

The existing roadway pavement will be removed, water service pipes will be replaced, new gravel base placed to a 12″ thickness, new concrete curbing installed, concrete driveway aprons installed where needed, and new asphalt paving placed. The roadway will be reconstructed at a 36-foot width to allow for on-street parking, and a fire hydrant placed at the south end of the street.

4. McDowell Street Reconstruction – from Main Street to Second Street – 2015

The existing roadway pavement will be removed, the current watermain will be replaced, new gravel base placed to a 12″ thickness, and new asphalt paving placed. The roadway curbing will remain.

5. Beloit Street Repaving – from Wisconsin Street to Washington Street – 2015

The existing roadway pavement will be ground down, and new asphalt paving placed. This project will also include repair of storm sewer piping and catchbasins.

6. Schauf Street Repaving – from Cummings Street to Walnut Street – 2015

The existing roadway pavement will be ground down, and new asphalt paving placed.

7. North Fifth Street Repaving – from Walworth Avenue to McDowell Street – 2015

The existing roadway pavement will be ground down, and new asphalt paving placed.

8. Terrace Street Repaving – from McDowell Street to Lake Comus Dam – 2015

The existing roadway pavement will be ground down, covered with a fabric matrix and new asphalt paving placed. This project will also include repair of storm sewer piping.

9. Delbrook Golf Course Parking Lot Repaving – 2015

The existing parking lot pavement will be covered with a fabric matrix and new asphalt paving placed. This project also includes a water supply pumping system for the existing course irrigation, to reduce the need for well water.

10. Woolsey Street Water Tower Repainting – 2015.

The existing steel tank will drained and the interior access chambers repainted.

11. Sanitary Sewer Relining Project – 2015.

The Utility will be relining sections of sanitary sewer mains on S. Main Street, Barnes Street, Tyrell Avenue and West Washington Street.
Also a lateral connection on West Washington Street near Vine Street will be excavated and repaired.

12. Storm Sewer Manhole Replacements will be completed along Cummings Street and Coburn Street.

This work consists of manhole replacements in their existing locations.

For 2013:

2. East Geneva Street Repaving- from Fourth Street to Sixth Street – 2013

The existing roadway pavement will be removed, new gravel base placed to a 12” thickness, new concrete curbing installed on the south side of the roadway, possibly new concrete sidewalks installed on the south side of the roadway (where none now exist), concrete driveway aprons installed where needed, and new asphalt paving placed.

3. South Terrace Street Reconstruction – from Matthew Street to Springs Park – 2013

The existing roadway pavement will be removed, new gravel base placed to a 12” thickness, new concrete curbing installed leading up to the Park entrance, concrete driveway aprons installed where needed, and new asphalt paving placed. The roadway will be reconstructed at the same width as the existing Terrace Street pavement to the north.

4. South Main Street Reconstruction – from Geneva Street to Springs Park – 2013

The existing roadway pavement will be removed, the current watermain will be replaced, new gravel base placed to a 12” thickness, new concrete curbing installed leading up the Park entrance, concrete driveway aprons installed where needed, and new asphalt paving placed. The roadway will be reconstructed at the existing width.

5. East Geneva Street Reconstruction – from Terrace Street to Second Street – 2013

The existing roadway pavement will be removed, new gravel base placed to a 12” thickness at the City’s standard roadway width of 40 feet with new concrete curbing, concrete driveway aprons installed where needed, and new asphalt paving placed. This project will also include installation of storm sewer piping, catchbasins, and a filtration system installed to protect the waters of Swan Creek.

6. Alder Avenue Water Main Replacement Project – from Phoenix Street to Tyrell Avenue – 2013.

The Utility will be replacing the current 6” water main with an 8” water main. This project will also include replacement of 16 water services and 2 fire hydrants.

7. North Shore Drive Fore Main Project – 2013.

The Utility will be installing 4,400 feet of sanitary sewer force main on North Shore Drive, from future pumping station on North Shore Drive to the downstream gravity sewer on Highway 50.

8. Sanitary Sewer Relining Project – 2013.

The Utility will be relining sanitary sewer mains. These include Herman Street, between Phoenix Street and East Geneva Street, and five lines on S. Second Street, between E. Geneva Street and Nicholas Drive.

9. Sanitary Sewer Manhole Repairs will be completed on Laurel Heights Drive, Alder Avenue, and East Geneva Street.

This work consists of manhole cone replacements and frame adjustments.
