Park System:
"Adopt-a-Park" Program
The City has recently implemented an "Adopt-a-Park" program; whereby, local neighborhood groups, businesses, and organizations are given the opportunity to donate their time and efforts in order to ensure the provision of high-quality city parks.
Groups who become involved adopt a specific city park and perform a spring and fall cleanup of that park. In addition, the adopting group is encouraged to keep an eye on their park throughout the summer months as well as given the opportunity to perform additional park projects if they so desire.
In addition to enjoying the satisfaction of participating in a worthwhile community activity, each adopting group is recognized by an "Adopt-a-Park" sign which is installed at their park and lists their group’s name.
There is absolutely no cost to participate in this program.
