City Parks

Delavan’s park system contains more than 100 acres of beautifully maintained natural preserves. There are a variety of scenic parks, including Mill Pond at Veteran’s Park, Phoenix Park, and Springs Park. Here you will find spacious picnic areas and safe playgrounds for the kids. Tower Park, Veteran’s Park, and the Town of Delavan Community Park are popular recreation sites as well.

Andy's Park (Special Use Area)

Park Amenities

• Skate/Bike Park

Andy's Park is an 11,200-skate/bike park that includes lights and a sound system. Specific features of Andy's Park include: 4' quarter pipe, 12' wide; 9' wall ride, 12' wide; 5' mini-half pipe, 24' wide w/ extensions & roll-in; and much more.

Congdon Gardens Website

Congdon Park (Special Use Park)

Park Amenities

• One open-air gazebo.
• .9 mile walking trail around the perimeter of the park.
• Rotary Gardens are included in Congdon Park. These formal gardens include benches and waterfall feature.
• Shoreline fishing is available.
• Picnic area with tables.

Congdon Park is a 29.6 - acre park, which serves as the eastern gateway to the City. Located in the one of the City's business parks on Geneva Street at I-43 this park offers shoreline fishing along with a scenic location for weddings.

Ora Rice Arboretum (Special Use Park)

Park Amenities

• Natural resources area with trial and benches for recreational walking.
• Open play area.

Ora Rice Arboretum is a 6.1-acre facility that serves as a northerly expansion of the Paul Lange Arboretum west of Lake Comus.

Paul Lange Arboretum (Special Use Park)

Park Amenities

• Boat launch.
• Canoeing on Lake Comus.
• Shoreline fishing on Lake Comus.
• Nature trail system.
• Gazebo with perfect setting for outdoor wedding ceremonies.

Paul Lange Arboretum is a 24.6 - acre site located on the northwest shore of Lake Comus on Terrace Street. This heavily used specialty facility includes a 1 mile nature trail, benches, and boat launch. A paved parking area with 10 standard stalls and four stalls serves this facility for Autos and boat trailers.

Rudy Lange Sledding Hill (Special Use Park)

Park Amenities

• Sledding Hill.

Rudy Lange Sledding Hill is a 1.4 - acre sledding hill located north of Washington Street at its intersection with Terrace Street. The hill is lighted throughout the winter and provides a 335-foot sledding area.

Terrace Park (Special Use Park)

Park Amenities

• Nature resource area.
• Passive area.

Terrace Park is an 8.4 - acre facility that serves as an entryway to the City of Delavan for visitors who arrive from the west on STH 11. This park is a grassy area with shade trees. The DNR recently completed a shoreline restoration project along Swan Creek within the park. The park is currently a passive area with no improvements.

Fest Park (Neighborhood Park)

Park Amenities

• Lighted little league baseball field that is also utilized for adult softball.
• Small shelter building for rent which includes bathrooms and small concession stand for sales during baseball games.

Fest Park is a 4.5 - acre park located on Faryl Ave. on the City's southeast side. This park offers a lighted fenced in baseball/softball field with lighted scoreboard. Picnic tables and bathrooms are also available at this site. Fest Park shelter is available for rental during the summer months.

Phoenix Park (Neighborhood Park)

Park Amenities

• Band Shell.
• Open green space for play and picnicking.
• Playground structure.

Phoenix Park is a 3.3 - acre park located on one square block at Main, Wisconsin, Second, and Washington Street. Click here to see future park plans.

Wilma H. Lauterbach Park (Neighborhood Park)

Park Amenities

• Playground structure.
• 2 half-court basketball courts.
• 1 tennis court.
• Picnic area with picnic shelters.

Wilma H. Lauterbach Park is 6.9 - acre facility located on the southeast side of the City on the southern end of Madison Drive, west of Park Avenue.

Gordon Yadon Park (Community Park)

Park Amenities

• Trail system for recreational walking and exercising.
• Open air shelter with picnic tables.
• Future bathrooms and playground are being planned.
• Future gazebo and gardens are also being planned.

Gordon Yadon Park is a 10 - acre facility located on the east side of the City on Whispering Pines Drive and Autumn Drive. Gordon Yadon Park provides open play area for organized Church softball and youth baseball programs. Future development includes a bathroom facility. Click here to see future park plans.

Springs Park (Community Park)

• Shelter for rental.
• Bathroom facility.
• Playground structure.
• Horseshoe pits.
• Nature resource area.
• Nature trails.

Springs Park is a 33.3 - acre facility located on the south end of Terrace Street on Swan Creek. The Park is divided into two areas. Upper Springs Park includes a playground structure, horseshoe pit, picnic shelter for rental and bathroom facility. Lower Springs Park includes open play fields and a hiking trail through the wooded area along Swan Creek.

Veteran's Memorial Park (community Park)

Park Amenities

• Regulation size baseball field with lights.
• Youth softball field.
• Youth t-ball field.
• Ice-skating.
• Lighted Skate/bike park facility.
• Shelter with bathrooms and picnic area.
• Swimming beach.
• Playground structure.

Veteran's Memorial Park is a 25 - acre facility located north of Walworth Ave. between Terrace Street and Richmond Road at the western edge of Lake Comus. Swan Creek is also located within the park. Deckert Park (Mini-Park)

Park Amenities

• Playground structure.
• Picnic area with tables.
• Half court basketball hoop.

Deckert Park is a 1.3 - acre park located at the intersection of Ray Street and Center Street on the City's northeast side. Deckert Park provides open play space along with a playground for the neighborhood.

Tower Park (Mini-Park)

• Historical exhibits.

Tower Park is a .5 - acre facility is located on the north side of Walworth Ave. at the water tower site. This park includes benches, water fountain, and a collection of circus-related animal figures that highlight the important role the circus played in the City's history.
