D.O.T. Construction Closure UPDATE – Borg Rd at WIS 50

Access to intersection businesses will be maintained

On Wednesday, June 14, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is scheduled to begin a 14 day closure of Borg Road at WIS 50 (East Geneva Street) in the city of Delavan, Walworth County. The closure is necessary for reconstruction of the WIS 50 and Borg Road/Wright Street Intersection.

The closure affects the south leg (Borg Road) of the intersection. This closure will not impact traffic on WIS 50 traveling east and west through the intersection. It will not impact the north leg of the intersection (Wright Street).

Access to businesses will be maintained. Motorists wishing to access businesses south of WIS 50 near Borg Road, should take north/south cross streets (west of the intersection) to Phoenix Street, then connect with Borg Road.

The intersection is anticipated to open to traffic on Wednesday, June 28. The schedule of work is weather dependent and subject to change.
