COVID‐19 (Coronavirus) Updates City of Delavan

The City of Delavan is continuing to monitor the status of the COVID‐19 (Coronavirus) outbreak. At this point, we are encouraging the community to take the following measures regarding interactions with City of Delavan departments, programs and services.

All in‐person visits to City government buildings are highly discouraged. Please call the respective department in lieu of an on‐site visit to learn what alternate options are available to conduct business by phone, email, or fax.

CITY HALL ACCESS: City Hall staff will remain working, either at City Hall or remotely, and will be available to answer questions regarding City services although face‐to‐face interaction is highly discouraged. The general phone number for City Hall is 262‐728‐5585. At this time, City offices will be open normal hours.

PAYMENTS: If you are looking to make a City payment, please use the 24‐hour drop‐box located outside the entrance to City Hall or contact the applicable department by phone to discuss options that would avoid face‐to‐ face contact. Options may include on‐line payments at (a service fee applies) use the following pay location codes for your online payment:

  • Court: 9061                                      ‐ Water and sewer: 9062
  • Parking: 9063                ‐ Any other Miscellaneous Items: 9064

CITY GOVERNMENT MEETINGS: Effective immediately, all non‐essential City committee meetings have or will be cancelled. Staff will be severely limiting group contact for meetings and conferences. For the moment City Council meetings will continue. We will be separating the chairs to comply with social distancing recommendations of the CDC, however we encourage the general public to consider viewing the recorded meetings on the City’s website at

ABSENTEE VOTING If you are concerned about appearing in person in the Clerk’s office for absentee “early” voting or at the polls on Election Day, April 7, due to the Coronavirus outbreak, you have the option of having your ballot mailed to your home. ARAM PUBLIC LIBRARY CLOSURE: At this time the Library is closed. The library plans on re‐opening when the Delavan‐Darien School District is back in session. The safety of our community is paramount in our decision‐making and we are focused on providing a safe and healthy environment for our patrons. DELAVAN MUNICIPAL COURT CANCELLATIONS: The Municipal Court Judge, Timothy Sturtevant, has canceled court until at least April 6. If you have a court date earlier than April 6, it will be rescheduled and you will receive notice of the new date in the mail. Call 262‐728‐5585 x.114 or email with questions or concerns.

PARKS AND RECREATION PROGRAMMING: Activities are postponed until Delavan‐Darien School District reopens, currently scheduled for April 6. This will be subject to change based on recommendations from local health officials. Please see the City’s webpage and Facebook page for further details.

DELBROOK GOLF CLUB: The golf course will not open for play prior to April 6, 2020.  The Pro Shop and restaurant will remain open at this time. Please see our website and Facebook page for additional information.

GENERAL HEALTH INFO: Prevent the spread ‐ wash your hands regularly for at least 20 seconds with soap and water, cover your coughs and sneezes, and stay home when you are ill.
