COMPOST SITE

Due to construction at the Street Department, the City Drop-Off Compost Site has been temporarily moved to 717 Ann Street.
Hours are 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., Monday through Friday
Saturday operation will begin March 16th and remain available until November 9th
Saturday hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m
This drop-off site is available to all City of Delavan residents for the disposal of brush, leaves, or grass clippings with no fee charged
Placement of materials into the dumpsters is not provided by the City.

Notice that the Assessment Roll is open for Examination and Board of Review

City of Delavan, Walworth County, Wisconsin

Pursuant to § 70.45, Wis. Stats, the assessment roll for the Year 2019 assessment will be open for examination starting on the 25th day of May, 2019 from 8:00am. until 4:30pm., Monday through Friday.

The assessor was available on Friday, May 24, 2019 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm for Open Book.

Board of Review will be June 27, 2019 at 6:00 pm.  Call 262.728.5585 to schedule an appointment at least 48 hours in advance.

Did you know it is Illegal to make a U-turn in the downtown !?!?

Wisconsin State Law does NOT allow a motorized vehicle to make a U-turn mid-block.

State Statute 346.33
The operator of a vehicle may not make a U-turn upon a highway ….. mid-block on any street in a business district, ….. or mid-block on any through highway in a residence district, ….. “mid-block” means any part of a street or highway other than an intersection.
