The following programs are available for the City of Delavan residents.

TREE TRIMMINGS City of Delavan curbside brush collection will now be a weekly pickup from April 1st through October 31st each year.  You will need to contact the City of Delavan Message Center at 262.740.3502 and leave your address for pickup.

Please note that branches must be less than 6” in diameter, a minimum of 4’ in length, but not longer than 12’, and must be stacked neatly at the curb, cut ends toward the street. Branches smaller than 4’ in length, bush cuttings, or items with roots can be brought to the Street Department, 490 Richmond Road, Monday through Friday from 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., except holidays. Saturday hours are available March 20, 2021 through November 13, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

LEAF COLLECTION The last day that leaves can be left at the curbside for leaf collection in the Fall is the Sunday after Thanksgiving.  Those leaving leaf piles at the curb after that date will be sent an unsightly debris notice from the Inspection Department for the property owner to remove.  Spring leaf collection will be in the month of April. Leaves must be placed evenly in the street adjacent to the curb and not bagged.  Burning of small amounts of dry leaves and dry plant clippings is allowed from March 1st through May 31st, and from September 1st through November 30th. Hours for burning are between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Burning of leaves in City streets is NOT allowed.

CITY DROP-OFF COMPOST SITE    Brush dumpsters will not be available from December 1, 2020 through March 1, 2021.
The compost site is located at 490 Richmond Road.  Hours are 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., Monday thru Friday.
Saturday operations in 2021 will begin March 20th and continue through November 13th. Saturday hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
This drop-off site is available to all City of Delavan residents for the disposal of brush, leaves, or grass clippings with no fee charged.
Placement of materials into the dumpsters is not provided by the City.

Commercial companies engaged in the business or practice of landscaping or yard maintenance are not to deposit any material at the drop-off compost site.
