LEAF COLLECTION

The last day that leaves can be left at the curbside for leaf collection in the Fall is the Sunday after Thanksgiving.  Those who leave leaf piles in the curb after that date will be sent an unsightly debris notice from the Inspection Department directing the property owner to remove the leaves.  Spring leaf collection is in the month of April.

Leaves must be placed evenly in the street adjacent to the curb and not bagged. Burning of small amounts of dry leaves and dry plant clippings is allowed from March 1st through May 31st and from September 1st through November 30th.   Hours for burning are between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm.  Burning of leaves in City streets is NOT allowed.

CHRISTMAS TREE COLLECTION

The Street Department will collect Christmas trees during the month of January as weather and manpower allow.  The trees must be at the edge of the roadway without light strings, ornaments, plastic bags, or metal objects including tree stands.  Wreaths, garlands, etc. should be placed with your regular refuse.  No phone call is necessary for pick-up.
